The professional guarantor of the competition is the jury, made up of representatives of the sending schools and further representatives from artistic practice and education. Separate juries are established for the Czech Republic, the Republic of Poland, Hungary and the Slovak Republic. Each sending school may nominate one juror for level I of the competition. That juror is placed on the jury evaluating works from the country of the nominating school: a Slovak school nominates a juror for the jury evaluating works by students of Slovak schools. The organiser nominates further representatives from artistic practice and education separately for the Czech Republic, the Republic of Poland, Hungary and the Slovak Republic.

In the final, the competition works are evaluated by a joint jury for all four countries. The organiser nominates the jurors for the final. Members of this jury may, but need not, be jurors from level I.

The list of jurors will be published on www.start21art.cz, www.start21art.pl, www.start21art.hu or www.start21art.sk (according to the country in which the school is based) and on www.start21art.eu (for the final works).
